I’ve seen this happening on other sites too. Paypal might be cracking down, but my guess was it was bots.
Some ass(es) made an webot that searches links for things like “donate” and “megaupload,” and then reports accounts. Since sites like Paypal do suck, they don’t check they just delete.
On other fansubs sites that have donations, the ones using a secondary site are still fine. One example is Chipin.com. Don’t know if it will work though.
I would also believe that FUni did it.

Why not just do this through IRC completely. Seems to me all problems stem from the visibility of this blog. IRC is easy, efficient and much safer. Groups were doing this for years and still do.

You can’t blame paypal or Funi for this(even if they both suck), if you are doing a bootlegging you should be aware of the consequences.

If thora want to collect donation through legitimate methods they should expect this will happened.
actually when i first saw Thora is asking for donation i wondered it it ok to use paypal as donation method, and i said to my self if they are aware of what they are doing then its fine.
Hope Thora will keep their good work and looking for their future release.
