For all you windows users, you can use Media Player Classic HomeCinema, that works very fine with its own internal codecs. And btw, just wanted to leave a request for THORA: when you publish the nfo or on the webpage the codec you’re using for the media (usually x264), just say with what profile you’ve encoded ( usually 4.1 is good for using DXVA), plz?

I always update my crap…. hell, if you install the right stuff properly, you can even watch 1080p perfectly just using an Intel Core 2 Duo’s graphics processor without a graphics card or anything.

But the profiles you use in your encodes aren’t playable (plays with image artifacts) in my Tvix nor most of the other popular hardware media players.

I know his is not really you problem, but perhaps you could consider a different profile to cater for all us with hardware mediaplayers.

MPEG4.10 h264 HW-profile restrictions wouldn’t allow some advanced encoding settings. of course this is easily circumvented via extremely high bitrate on spacious BDROMs. Say 15-30 gigs per 2hr anime movie, eh… how about d/l that? huzakennayo!
