@ailailou: It depends on what’s actually AVAILABLE first. That probably includes both release date, and when someone dumps the BD-image onto share/winny/PD. For example, the Spice and Wolf BDs were only released just under a week ago.

I really wish you used Animanda-AonE’s translation instead of BSS’
the immediate minute I saw your release on TT I deleted the eps I have.. but unfortunately, I will have to redownload them…

Yes thanks again for picking up a series that deserves your quality releases, and thanks again for the 1080p quality.
But would love to thank you a third time but BSS, I know they are not bad but with A-Kraze/Yoroshiku doing a top release and AonE-Animanda doing a faster but still good release i’m very surprised that you used BSS’s subs, since you are right at the start of the series i would love it if you re-considered the subs.

I finally registered
I am happy they chose BSS. The series is ongoing and still unlicensed right? Animanda and Ani-Kraze drop series when they get licensed. So rather than having to switch later, it’s better to stick with BSS now. BSS will most likely finish it. Also Ani-Kraze doesn’t use softsubs so it would either be BSS or AonE-Animanda…and there is nothing wrong with BSS.

Oh and, thanks for the 1080! Thora doing so many series! =)

i would suggest this much help with low-cost rig and videos still can play in non-DXVA

@Basty – You bring up an interesting point. If I remember correctly, and correct me if I am wrong here, but DXVA is directx video acceleration, in other words, the decoding work is offloaded to the graphics card instead of the CPU ya? You know I never knew how that would work and I think the only time I have seen it work is when I play DVD movies with the MPC Home Cinema edition. Even then I am not 100% sure. I ahve noticed my Qx9650 @ 3.4 ghz and 1.6 ghz FSB uses quite a bit of CPU when playing the 1080p versions…as much as 25-30%! Is that what you are trying to reduce?

I believe since BSS is releasing the BDs themselves, that more than enough reason to switch from using their subs..
and the speed doesn’t matter! the series won’t end till early 2010 for the BDs!

On the subjet of dxva, coreavc released the 1.9.0.0 version of coreavc, which now supports nvidia Cuda. From the tests I made, all the 1080p from thora I tested so far worked with it, the cpu is very limited since it uses the video card to decode mainly, but you still get the flexibility of using a software decoder, which means directvobsub can be used and so on. Looks very promising so far.

Hi there, I want to know if my computer is able to play 1080p softsubs karaoke smoothly because right now I can’t (the ED lags).

2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR2 RAM, GeForce 9300GE 256MB, Vista.

If the computer is able, what should I install/use? If it can’t then I’ll just use 720p I guess.

it not trying to reduce but make it playable on someting like media center pc such as nvidia’s Ion. their very limited cpu performance but they have gpu that can do this job..
also my machine still athlon64 2GHz with radeon HD card ..the cpu isnt enough power
DXVA is the option can use with G90 nor HD series cards to be able to play without performance issue but now G90 got cuda support in coreavc
to make DXVA able is set profile to 4.1 or better
Qx9450 cost around 300$ here.. well.. it’s under develop country

i find nothing wrong, overall, with the BSS subs. they were faster to finish than the other groups, with very few errors in terms of english that makes sense, and in the way that it flows with the shows feel. i don’t know nipponese, so i don’t know how correct it is there, but these guys do a great job, finish their stuff quickly and finish shows that intimidate other groups (moyashimon comes to mind, as they were one of the only groups who got past 1-4 episodes, and i don’t believe that was all due to it supposedly not being popular enough). i have no real issue with the job shinsen (also doing BD) did, nor animanda-aone, and a-kraze-yu (both still in progress, and of course a-kraze would require a timed script, as they hardcoded, as mentioned).
still, i just don’t see the problem with BSS’s subs. if it is because they are doing BD, too, then this isn’t the only series that this would pertain to (casshern comes to mind). once again, if it is translation, then i really am ignorant….

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could help me. On the 720 Ending file, the karaoke keeps lagging. I have installed the latest CCCP Beta and the latest version of CoreAVC.
My system properties are as follows:

Processor: AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 2.10 GHz with a 4.00 GB RAM.

I don’t know what other info might help.

Well, your CPU is a dual-core so it should work. Maybe sure you’re only running the video, turn off anything that might be working in the background. Anti-virus, programs scanning your computer.

Try using your taskmanager/taskbar to make mcplayerc’s priority “high”. That works a little since it uses more resources to play the thing.
